Gus Rubio
President
The owner/operator and founder of Gabriel Builders, Gus Rubio first gained building experience working construction jobs during college vacations. After earning a business degree from Furman University, Gus began his career as a quality control manager at W.R. Grace, remodeling rental properties on the side. When he was ready to delve into the home construction fulltime, the “culture of quality” remained
a part of his character. Today, Gabriel Builders has a Quality Assurance Manager and operates its entire operation from a detailed quality manual. Gus is a Certified Master Builder who personally limits the number of homes Gabriel builds each year in order to allow for his hands-on involvement in each project.
“I love making homeowners’ dreams become reality, the pride in quality workmanship, and the wonderful people we’ve met who we now count among our great friends. It’s about being passionate about quality, service, and relationships.”
Belinda Rubio
Vice President
After graduating from Furman University with a business degree, Belinda went to work for Liberty Life Insurance Co. as a business analyst and later became their employment manager. As the family grew, she left her career and founded Gabriel Builders along with Gus. She is involved in sales and marketing as well as other support functions for Gabriel.
“The most rewarding part of my job is building relationships with customers. Our customers are some of the greatest and most interesting people in the country and we’re proud to have them as our friends.”
Gabe Rubio
Project Manager
While Gabe was attending high school and college, he worked for Gabriel Builders during the summers,
framing and trimming houses. He graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a Finance Degree. As the company’s namesake, he naturally came to work for Gabriel immediately upon graduation. Gabe serves
as a Project Manager in the Field and also coordinates the Estimating process.
"Watching a job site transform from its original state to a finished product is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy the technicality of the framing process and equally enjoy the relationships I build with the homeowners.”
Charles Compton
Quality Assurance Manager
Charles became interested in construction working on residential framing and siding in college. Upon graduation from Appalachian State University, Charles found working a way to work in construction and help others at the same time: by becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer building water systems in the rural area of South America. He spent almost twenty years in Central and South America managing a variety of projects including housing construction, school construction and construction of water and sanitation systems.
“I am extremely happy to be working for a company that emphasizes integrity in their dealings with people and quality in their products and services.”
Beth Quinn
Office Manager
With over 20 years of accounting experience and an associate’s degree, Beth Quinn keeps the office at Gabriel Builders running smoothly.
Among her many duties, Beth prepares client billings and performs all company accounting functions.
“I enjoy building relationships with our internal customers and our wonderful homeowners. It’s fulfilling to watch these wonderful homes go from dream to reality. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work on such a wonderful team.”
