Living Large in The South’s Best Cities
Southern Living recently released their list of The South’s Best Cities for 2018 and we were so excited to see who was on it! Eleven cities made this list and we are quite fond of three of them. 😉 From the coast to the mountains, we have some top notch spots here in the Carolinas.
At no surprise, the historic oasis of Charleston was listed as number one. With beaches around every corner, a salty sea breeze blowing through the cobblestone streets, and to-die-for cuisine, it would be impossible to list all of the reasons why this town is so great. Known as South Carolina’s Holy City, this town is oozing with rich history. Charleston is the state’s oldest and second-largest city. Of course, there is no shortage of ocean views here. The coastal landscape makes for some beautiful opportunities to build in this area. It doesn’t get much better than the beach!
Landing at number 3 on the list, is none other than Asheville, North Carolina. This thriving city comes with incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and French Broad River. Of course, there is also the infamous Biltmore House that acquires visitors from all over the world each year. Asheville is a city all its own with amazing cuisine, music on every corner and world-class breweries and coffee shops. We have had several clients build in this area and the natural landscape never disappoints!
Coming in hot at number 5 is our beloved hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Of course, we are a little biased but this town has so much going for it! Even with the immense growth that we have had, we have still maintained that small town feel. Numerous award-winning restaurants have hit the scene in the last few years making Greenville a new culinary destination. Among the new, we are also reviving the old. Places like the Taylors Mill and Hampton Station are bringing new life to the outskirts of the city.
No matter which area you are thinking about visiting or living in, you can’t go wrong with the Carolinas. The majority of our clients come from other parts of the country and we love showing them around our “neck of the woods”. Whether you want the mountains, the lake or the beach, we will be here every step of the way!
