Director of Human Resources & Operations

As the Director of Human Resources and Operations, Jana brings a calm and very positive disposition to the workplace. She brings over 20 years of experience to her position and is a graduate from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Marketing.

Originally from the small town of Rogersville, MO she moved to Chicago at 17 right after high school and many many years later, Jana and her husband Matt moved to the south in 2014. When asked why they moved? “We needed less snow, more sun, lower taxes, and more Jesus loving people. It was the best decision we ever made!”

Her husband Matt is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and together (blended) they have 4 children from ages 22-10 and live in Greer, SC.

“A few years ago, I read a book by Mark Batterson that changed my life. Chase the Lion: If your dream doesn’t scare you, it’s too small. It talks about pursuing dreams so large they are destined to fail without divine intervention. I keep a copy of the Lion Chaser’s manifesto taped to my mirror and I read it every morning. It’s an excellent set of guidelines for how I want to conduct my life personally, professionally and spiritually.”

Fun Fact:

My husband is Army, my son is a Marine, and my father-in-law is retired Navy. Dinners at our house can get rowdy!

What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

I have a passion for health and wellness and the positive impact it can have on mental health. I am certified nutrition coach from the Cooper Institute and a level 2 CrossFit coach. I enjoy mentoring people who are looking to make positive changes to their overall health and love helping them on their journey.

Outside the office I enjoy the sweat life and can often be found taking or coaching a CrossFit class, lifting weights, doing hot yoga or taking long walks with my kiddos.
