Cliffs At Glassy Chapel

This chapel on the mountain is located in the Cliffs at Glassy. With large windows and beautiful stonework, its structure is as much of a view as the surrounding landscape. From weddings and concerts to special events and church services, the Chapel at Glassy is a wonderful addition to the Cliffs Communities.

Fun Fact

One month before the completion date, there was a small tornado that blew the roof off!

Jim Anthony, the original developer of the Cliffs, had an early vision in the 90’s to build a Chapel as a place for worship, meditation, weddings, celebrations, etc. within the Cliffs Communities. When he approached us about building it, it was a special invitation. Our lives and business are based on our faith in Jesus Christ, so to be able to honor our beliefs and construct a Chapel was extremely touching and special. Our first son, Gabe was married there and our second child, Lauren walked down that aisle in October 2017. Two down and one more to go! When our children take their dates to see the Chapel, we realize it must be getting serious. It was designed by Stephen Fuller of Atlanta and has an incredible view of the Greenville/Spartanburg areas plus mountain views. My favorite part is the old, timbered cross that stands behind the Chapel in front of the mountains. We’ll be taking pictures of a new bride and groom in front of that cross soon – what a foundation for a marriage!
