Barb

Residential Designer

Barb has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado, Denver, but first earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, she played basketball as a walk-on and then went on to become a UC Hall of Fame inductee. Her experience as an athlete provides her the confidence and poise she needs for any situation. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education K-12 from Kent University and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as some K-12 classes in the public school system. Through teaching, she has learned the valuable skillset of listening and problem solving.

She has been involved in the building industry for her entire life – and some of her fondest childhood memories are of reading blueprints with her father, who inspired her lifelong passion for architecture, design, and art.  Working in residential design is the perfect culmination of Barb’s talents, and we feel lucky to have her on our team.

Barb’s favorite part about her job is that architecture can reveal and discover beauty in the spatial needs of people, creating a sense of place that is inherent in their everyday lives.

When Barb is not working, you can find her playing pickleball, riding her bike, and making art which are all tangential inspirations to travel.
