Masterpiece on the Lake

This masterpiece is the first of four homes completed on a family-owned compound.

From the outside, you’ll see curves set against straight lines for contrast, with eyebrow dormers and round windows on the front and rear exterior. This is carried throughout the interior as well, seen not only in the structure of the home, but also in the lighting and tile selections throughout. The custom corner fireplace was designed to sit with distinction between the living and dining rooms, surrounded by limestone tile and clean tongue and groove ceilings and walls.

The home is full of custom elements including tile and ironwork; and also full of reclaimed pieces sources globally. The door leading into the office is from a castle in France, and the reclaimed beams from 1820 are from a barn in Maryland. The master bathroom boasts inlaid tile to mimic a rug pattern, and a walk-through shower flanked by custom cabinetry. The master bedroom has transoms above the reading nook entrance, and a custom designed pattern on the ceiling that once again incorporates the curves seen through our the architecture of this home.
