Keowee Springs Retreat
This unique home, which provides a retreat for a family of seven, was designed to promote gathering and connection to the beautiful natural setting. The views and topography strongly influenced the floor plan. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are on the upper level with porches extending off either end so they do not obstruct the views of the gorgeous lake below. The "eyebrow" dormer, which is visible on the street side, extends through the home, becoming the ceiling of the dining room, before ultimately emerging as a dramatic 3 story roof structure over a terrace on the lake side.
Finishes: Traditional stucco, natural stone, cast stone, copper, terra cotta tiles, ship lap walls with a stained wood, barrel vault ceiling, oak floors, ceramic tile, timber frame trusses and columns
- 8,400 Square Feet
- 7 Bedrooms
- 8 Full Baths
- 1 Half Bath
The curved ceiling of the dining room, which is 25' tall, is an extension of the eyebrow dormer, which is visible from the street and lake side of the house.
From the moment that we met Gus and Belinda Rubio as they presented their proposal to us, to the day we moved in to our finished house, and even after, the trust and integrity of Gabriel Builders has shown through. Gus runs his business with an extreme focus on building trust with his customers, and insisting on integrity not only from himself, but from all of the employees in his company. As the head of a global construction firm myself, my expectations of Gabriel were very high. Gabriel Builders exceeded those expectations in every facet of our project. To sum it up, Gabriel is definitely a builder who will deliver a high-quality, beautiful house that will take your breath away. That quality alone sets them apart. However, they don’t just build a house….they build long-lasting customer relationships based on trust, thoughtfulness, and integrity. That puts them in a league of their own, and we will be forever thankful to them.
